Saturday, March 7, head over to Seven Bar & Kitchen for food, drinks, live music and live art. An all-day 2-year anniversary celebration in the funk zone! Congrats to our family at Seven on 2 years of business. We've had some great times there and look forward to working with them on more events throughout the year.
Dazzling burlesque! Mesmerizing tricks! Clowns! Godzilla! And more! Also, live music by The Scoundrels from Las Vegas. Don't miss this one! Thursday, Feb 19, 9:00 pm, 21+ Blind Tiger, 409 State St, Santa Barbara
Last year we made the local news as one of the top things to do on New Years Eve. It was a smashing success and a gorgeous evening at Seven Bar and Kitchen. So we are bringing the show back this year. Our lovely host and co-conspirator Ms. Fever Blister is bringing some of the finest burlesque performers in Los Angeles to celebrate the beginning of another year with all of you here in Santa Barbara. These ladies have class and style and allure and all the moves to keep your eyes glued to the stage. There will be no advanced tickets sold, so cruise down to Seven and get cozy early to secure a spot for the evening. $10 at the door brings you entertainment galore. Happy New Year to all.
And while I'm at it. Merry and I wish you all the best this holiday season. Our Holiday Spectacular was a lovely time with so many great faces in attendance. We saw some great performances and really enjoyed hosting this year at Muddy Waters. Check out the event page on FB to see some pics from our attendees here. Special thanks to the backing band: Ralph Lowi, Terry Luna, and Dustin Jansen. And all of our performers: Merry, Becca Lowi, Paola Jimenez, Ben Saunders, Hayley and Reid Cain, Matt Armor, and Gustavo Lizzaraga. We hope to add a lot of names to that list next year.
And speaking of next year.... We are really excited about our upcoming projects. Some of which, we haven't been able to say much about as of yet. But 2015 promises to be a really exciting year for Mutiny. Here's hoping 2015 is great for all of our friends and family. Love you guys!
The Holidays are upon us again. Mutiny has three upcoming events. First, its our Winter Warming office party. Come down to 528 N Salsipuedes St on Thursday, Dec 4 from 6-9p. Check out our new digs, do your very own holiday screen printing, try some food from The Angry Vegan, and sip some hot booze while we listen to some live music.
We are very excited to once again invite you to the Mutiny Studios Holiday Spectacular. Our annual musical variety show is in its fourth year and we couldn't be more stoked to work with this town's fine bunch of musicians. This year's show will be at Muddy Waters Cafe. We are going for extreme cozy as we bring you all the nostalgia, the laughs, and the collaborative efforts that make this event special. Mark your calendars for Friday, Dec 12. Space is extremely limited so be sure to come out early (doors at 8p).
Mutiny Studios presents New Years Eve at Seven Bar. We are bringing back the exquisite ladies of A Pinch of Glitter Productions for a night of dazzling burlesque. It will be feast for the eyes and for the belly, as Seven is always mixing up the best cocktails in town. Come out and celebrate the New Year in style.
Wednesday thru Sunday was a non-stop rockfest. Felt great to be at kick-ass sold out rock shows with just about every musician we know in town. Great performances from the headliners, and very impressive sets from our locals. We were proud to present Thursday nights showcase at Muddy Waters, featuring Afishnsea the Moon, Pacific Haze, Sun Daes, and Kelp. From the moment Kelp started the show in fishnet, evil drama masks, with creature from the black lagoon head fins, you knew this would be a classic night. The crowd was fully engaged and the bands delivered. We highly recommend you catch all of these guys over the next few months. They are all in great form.
Merry made this poster for the Block Party on Sunday. We were very excited to do this and are proud of the end result. It is a 12 x 18" 2-color print on 100# Butcher Off-White by French Paper. Only 50 made, they are signed and numbered. A few may be available thru the folks at New Noise newnoisesb.com. It was a beautiful day, and the setup was perfect for this kind of event. We sold posters at a booth with a view of the stage. Thank you to Jeff Theimer and all the folks who were involved this year. The event was really appreciated by the whole community. Mutiny Studios is very grateful for the opportunity to be involved!
